A parked domain is a domain name that is pointed to the domain of your master account. Anyone going to the parked domain on the internet will go directly to the master account domain name and its web site. People use parked domains for many reasons: creating more "front doors" to their site that may help a site place higher in search engine results. Web site owners also register other available extensions (yourdomain.com, .net, .org) to eliminate confusion if another company or person were to register the same name with a different extension.
A parked domain must be registered like any domain name and can be registered by us at the time of parking for $20 a year ($15 off Network Solutions price). We charge a one-time fee of $5 to park a domain name.
1. From the Control Panel, select the "Add Discount Hosting" button (as seen on this page). The next screen will present a choice - Add Additional Domain, or Add Parked Domain. Choose Add Parked Domain to get to the orderform asking for basic information concerning the domain name you want to park.

IMPORTANT: If you're parking a domain that you have registered you will need to make sure it is using our nameservers (or yours if you are using Virtual Name Servers VNS). You can do this yourself by going to the site where you registered the parked domain name and modifying the domain name's record with our DNS info:
NS.ONEWORLDHOSTING.COM
216.147.43.143
NS2.ONEWORLDHOSTING.COM
216.147.1.120, or
OR: If you would like us to start the "repointing" for the parked domain name go to:
http://transfermydomainname.com
3. For "Contract Length" you can choose any option since we only charge a one-time fee of $5.
4. The last section on the orderform has to do with Internic Contact Info, we strongly suggest you do not unclick any of the 3 checked boxes (the default setting), this will preserve your info as the domain name owner.
