Webmail is a web based system that
performs the functions of a mail client. While not a substitute for a pc-based mail application like Outlook or Thunderbird, you
can send, receive, and view all the mail from your One World
Hosting account from anywhere in the world via a web
browser. Open Webmail is one of the most capable webmail programs available
anywhere, at any price (just another free feature of your web hosting account!). In addition
to normal send and receive functionality, Open Webmail offers:
- Spellcheck
- Search and Advanced Searching capabilities can be carried out on numerous fields and criteria
- Complete calendar with mail integration - send messages to specified e-mail addresses as a reminder of an event!
- Ability to import existing address books
- Customize the look and feel: background changes, theme changes, calendar options and message filtering options.
- Enhanced security measures
Open Webmail Recommendations:
Like any webmail program, Open Webmail is best utilized as a backup or vacation email tool,
rather than a front line interface for all email. We recommend that you keep any email box
used for Webmail under 50MB total size for optimum performance. One World Hosting reserves the right
to empty webmail trash folders periodically to enhance performance.
Open Webmail First
Use: The first time you log into Open Webmail you
will get a couple of screens worth of questions/options for
different settings. We recommend that you scroll to the
bottom of the screen and make the this change:
"Trash mail reserved day(s)" change to "Delete at Logout"
That way junk email is removed promptly and does not take up useful space. Complete
the setting by hitting "Save" at the bottom of the page.
Open
Webmail Help:

any page for an extensive collection of help pages, tutorials, and more
information. The Help pages are also available at this web site for reference: http://openwebmail.org/openwebmail/help/en/index.html
